Keeping it to 16 people means I can give you personal attention on correcting your step and the combinations. We'll learn the essentials for a salsa dance: the basic step, the basic turns, and the cross body lead. This is a salsa on 1 class.

  • WhereSt. John’s Anglican Church labyrinth — 46098 Higginson Rd, Chilliwack. A large private outdoor space with lots of parking. If it rains we move to the covered area at the front entrance of Stitó:s Lá:lém Totí:lt Elementary (5337 Tyson Rd), so the class runs either way.
  • Cost$20 for one class, or $40 for all 2 remaining ($20 a lesson either way)

Come at 6:45 PM rather than bang on 7:00 if you can — the first quarter hour is for saying hello and getting your shoes on, and it's genuinely half of why people keep coming back.

You can start on any week. Every class opens with ten minutes on the basic step — from scratch if you’re new, as a review if you’re not. Past the basic, the turns and the cross body lead don't depend on each other — so week three is a perfectly good place to walk in.

What you'll learn

This block is already under way, so you're joining at week 3 — and the price below covers only the 2 lessons still to come. Every class reopens with the basic step, so arriving now is normal, not late.

  • Week 3 — the cross body lead, the move that turns steps into actual dancing
  • Week 4 — putting it together into real combinations, plus one special move

Every class opens with ten minutes on the basic step — from scratch if you’re new, as a review if you’re not. Everyone forgets it between classes — the review is for the whole room, not just for whoever is new.

Do all 2 and you'll be able to social dance by the last one — not a routine, actual improvised partner dancing. That's the whole point of the cross body lead.

Pay and take your spot

Spots are not held. Your place in the class exists once payment goes through, and not a moment before. It takes about a minute.

I use this to balance the room before the first night. Not sure? Pick "either" — trying both is genuinely the fastest way to learn.

One class or all 2 remaining?

It's $20 a lesson either way — the pass isn't cheaper, it just holds your spot so the class can't fill up without you. Try one first if you'd rather: if you stay, the other 1 are $20, so a single class costs you nothing extra in the end. I'll email you the link after your first one.
