About the Event
Tuesday Salsa Nights · The Grand Hall, 201–45939 Thunderbird Lane, Chilliwack, BC — in District 1881
Tuesday Salsa Nights is built for complete beginners who want to dive into Latin dance — no experience and no partner needed. We start with merengue, the simplest step in Latin dance: one beat per foot, no counting, so your feet go on autopilot within minutes and you can focus on the fun stuff — turns, connection, and lead-and-follow. Halfway through, we blend into salsa, building on everything you just learned.
It's a relaxed, social night. I rotate everyone through partners every few minutes, so by the end you've danced with just about the whole room — which makes it one of the easiest ways in Chilliwack to get to know people and meet someone new. Come on your own or bring a partner; both are completely normal.
The series launched on July 28, 2026 and drew around 80 people — well past the room's teaching capacity. The room is therefore capped at 65, and advance registration is the reliable way in. Read the launch-night recap, with photos from the first night →

Classes & Courses
Alongside the Tuesday social, BC Latin Dance runs a second weekly night at Spencer Studios in Chilliwack — a beginner class followed by open social dancing, on Friday evenings through September. It starts from zero every week, so there is no cohort to join late and nothing to catch up on.
One ticket covers the whole night, class and social both — there is no lesson-only or social-only price, because for the person going out it is one evening. The room is smaller than The Grand Hall and is capped at 25, so booking ahead matters more here than it does on a Tuesday.
